Snippets of my life as a cupcake-baking, knitting, fishing aunty.
Where are you, miss your blogs!
Hi Fran glad you had a good day, keep on blogging, I love it, want to set mine up now, is it easy? Jennyxx S and B Cardiff
Just out blog hopping and dropping in to say hi! Hope you are well!
Yaaaaaaaaay! *silly Franny does happy Snoopy dance at being employed again*
I started work on a Haematology ward at a great hospital last week. The first few days were terribly scary, as first days always are. My self-confidence has really dropped after everything that's happened in the last year, so I felt completely at sea despite some amazingly patient mentors and educators. Getting a nasty sinusy-type cold and having to call in sick for 2 of my shifts didn't help. This week has been a lot better so far, particularly as I'm starting to find out where things live in the treatment room and what protocols are followed for various things. I've been asking a ridiculous amount of questions (which I'm sure has ever so slightly annoyed some people) but I'd rather ask a dumb question than make a dumb mistake from not asking.
My knitting needles are loving being home with mama. Poor, sad, neglected needles! A friend of my mother's is trying to get together gift boxes for HIV +ve children in a Thai orphanage. Mum & I are making hats, beaded bits & bobs and random other little things to send in their boxes. (Not quite sure why, in tropical Thailand, these children would need knitted hats, but am willing to help out any orphanage who offers education to HIV +ve children, despite that being against Thai law.) Will post some pics when I work out how to upload photos from my phone without a Bluetooth dongle.
Last little thing...did a silly relationship test today. I don't tend to put much faith in things like this as the results are so easily fudged, but this made me giddy-happy, kinda like my boy does.
You've played the field and maybe sown some wild oats in your day. In the process, you've figured out who you are and what you want. And now you're going after it with a great guy who wants a family as much as you do. It sounds like you're both ready to settle down and start your own family traditions.
You've probably always made family a priority. Caring and dedicated, you'd do anything for those you love. So it's no surprise that you're ready to add more people to your family...no matter how you'll get along with his mother.
